I am reminded that in the USA September is National Sewing Month.
You may learn more at NationalSewingMonth.org and their 2015 theme of “Sew for the Charity of it!”
American Sewing Guild (ASG.org) has selected the Anti-Ouch Project for this year’s project. This is the link to the directions for the Antii-Ouch Project: http://www.nationalsewingmonth.org/html/mastectomy_anti_ouch_pouch.html
Look for a local ASG chapter group in your area on the asg.org web site. Consider joining a group to make this project with others in the know. Doing the project with others may help in better understanding the pattern and construction process. Remember adaptive pattern making tips and safe adaptive sewing instructions are described in the Needle Arts with Vision Loss: How to Enjoy Machine Sewing Without Sight. Here is an opportunity to make and share an item that will help encourage someone needing comfort.
Keep on enjoying needle arts without sight!
